A Proud Tradition since 1947
Recently we've added Crew 755 and Troop 755 G to our family,
providing more scouting programs for youth ages 11-20. We have engaged
enthusiastic trained adult leaders, many of whom have earned scouting's
highest adult awards, the Silver Beaver, District Award of Merit, and Unit Leader
Award of Merit.
We offer:
- Monthly camping opportunities
- High adventure trips--multiple trips per year
- First Year scouting program
- Merit Badge instruction
- Leadership training
- Eagle scout advising
We are the largest and most versatile troop in the state of Michigan. Our record of leadership and Eagle Scouts is matched by no one. All scouts receive ILST and many enroll in NYLT. Our troop ranges from 100 to 150 co-ed scouts. Currently we have 100 registered scouts and 50 registered leaders. We follow Northville Public School calendar, but have students attending many others including: Novi, Walled Lake Western, Livonia Stevenson, Plymouth, CC, U of D, Mercy, FGR, Divine Child.
Our goals are to provide a safe environment for the growth of our youth and we refer to these guides:
- Youth Protection
- Guide to Safe Scouting
- Guide to Advancement
- Troop 755 Leader Guide (currently being edited for content)
During the pandemic, we embraced online meetings and camped every month since we were allowed to by the Michigan Crossroads Council starting in August of 2020. Since the pandemic started, we still had 17 scouts become Eagles and we recruited over 50 new scouts to join our troop. We are now meeting outside from mid March to Mid November and have inside, virtual and some outside meetings from November to March. We camp monthly either outside or in cabins in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Canada.
Our Troop motto is "A Proud Tradition since 1947"
Our Troop slogan is "Advance Through Adventure"
Our mascot or totem is "Forward" our eagle, who has graced our neckerchiefs for decades. Forward is always looking to the future and opportunity.
Please visit us at a Monday evening meeting or simply use Contact Us to arrange a visit.
In either case, you'll receive a hearty welcome! Join Us, won't you?
We are part of the Ottawa District in the Michigan Crossroads Council (78) of National Service Territory 9 (lower peninsula of Michigan, Indiana, Ohio)
We tend to camp within our National Service Territory with some exceptions.
